34-2: WHARF RAIDER 1 is used by Chevron Texaco Oil Company as an oil tanker boom boat at their Richmond refinery. Outfitting includes a hydraulic boom roller with guides on the bow, heavy duty D-rubber fendering, elevated walk-around cabin, cabin heater, push knees, tow post, picking eyes, motor cage, Furuno 1834 NavNet electronics, loud hailer and night work light package. Boat operations take place in extremely rugged conditions. Choppy seas created by passing oil tankers, current and wind subject the boat to slamming against the pier.

34-4: Clean Rivers Cooperative operates the FRV Protector built to transport 1000 feet of 8"x12" containment boom and sorbents. Purchased jointly with resources from the Maritime Fire & Safety Association (MFSA), the vessel provides quick and efficient oil spill response capability for facilities, ships and tank barges on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers.
